WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME AFTER A MICRONEEDLING TREATMENT?

Patients may experience redness/pinkness similar to a sunburn for 24-72 hours. However, most patients have resolution of redness within 24 hours.

HOW MANY MICRONEEDLING TREATMENTS ARE RECOMMENDED?

A series of 3 initial SkinPen microneedling treatments scheduled every 4-6 weeks is highly recommended for optimal boosting of collagen and elastin production. For continued results, maintenance treatments are required every 6 months. In patients that desire improvement in scar visibility, 4 or more initial SkinPen treatments may be necessary.
