What is a Male Rhinoplasty?

The nose is a dominant facial feature, and having a confident appearance translates to every part of your life. A male rhinoplasty commonly referred to as a “nose job”, is customized to a man’s facial features with the goal of providing a strong profile that suits your face and ensuring a result that looks like a more refined version of yourself. Perception is important. Let Dr. Givens, a top facial plastic surgeon and expert in male rhinoplasty, help you to achieve a confident appearance that exudes trustworthiness and dependability both at work and play.

Rhinoplasty Techniques with Dr. Givens

Primary Rhinoplasty

Nasal reshaping is performed to correct structural, functional, and aesthetic issues related to both appearance and breathing. Septal deviation and crooked bones from sporting accidents, physical injury, and genetics can change the nasal shape and narrow the nasal passages making it difficult to breathe. A surgical rhinoplasty procedure can restore breathing and improve the nasal appearance at the same time.

Revision Rhinoplasty

Revision rhinoplasty is a corrective surgical procedure that addresses new or persistent imperfections of the nasal appearance and breathing issues after a failed initial nasal reshaping procedure. A successful outcome requires advanced surgical skills and a complete understanding of complex nasal anatomy. Having achieved the respect of the aesthetic industry, Dr. Givens is among the most accomplished rhinoplasty surgeons practicing in the greater Austin area and beyond.

Liquid Rhinoplasty

A liquid rhinoplasty is a non-surgical alternative to nasal surgery. With precise injection of the highest quality dermal fillers, many aesthetic nasal reshaping concerns can be addressed and resolved. A liquid rhinoplasty provides immediate results within minutes to create remarkable improvement in the appearance of your nose.

FAQ

How much does a Rhinoplasty cost?

Male rhinoplasty procedures involve a certain amount of expense and depend on the complexity of the case. A revision rhinoplasty is often more expensive than primary nasal reshaping surgery, while a non-surgical liquid rhinoplasty is the least expensive. Rather than focus on a specific number, you should concentrate on selecting a surgeon with significant experience and whom you trust to give you the results you desire. Even if the price is higher, a surgeon with expertise may save you the time and cost of a revision surgery in the future.

What is the recovery like after a Rhinoplasty?

There is moderate discomfort and nasal drainage during the first week after your surgery. While some sutures may be removed early, the taped external nasal splint will not be removed until the end of the first week. Although intranasal packing is rarely placed, you will have a difficult time breathing through your nose until the splint is removed and the nose is suctioned. The majority of swelling and bruising dissipates within the first two weeks, and most patients return to work or school within a week after surgery with certain restrictions. Patients who undergo non-surgical liquid rhinoplasty will have a few days of minimal swelling with no downtime or restrictions.

When will I see my results after a Rhinoplasty?

Once the splint is removed at the end of the first week after surgery, your nose will be straight but swollen. It is common to have “rebound swelling”, or temporary swelling of the nose, or temporary swelling of the nose, beginning a few hours after the splint is removed. It takes a few months for all residual post-operative swelling to resolve, but you will see significant results within the first few weeks. In addition, it takes a minimum of one full year (sometimes two years) for your nose to reach its final contour after surgical rhinoplasty. Patients who undergo non-surgical liquid rhinoplasty will see results immediately after injection in the office.
